Detective Benoit Blanc is BACK in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and yours truly decided this decadent murder mystery was the best way to celebrate Thanksgiving. And without spoiling anything, I was VERY right.
Rian Johnson’s newest mystery follows a tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) who invites his friends for a getaway on his private Greek island. All is fun and games until someone turns up dead. Who dunnit? Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is here to find out.
Glass Onion is just as clever, biting and delightfully entertaining as its predecessor. As Benoit peels back the layers of the narrative, even more twisty insanity unfolds, taking down its wealthy characters in a smart yet satirical way. Johnson’s writing is razor sharp, oozing with celebrity name drops and digs at our vapid influencer-hungry culture.
Johnson assembles another fantastic ensemble, featuring stand out performances from Janelle Monet and Kate Hudson. Daniel Craig thrives once again, becoming an iconic detective, among the likes of Sherlock Holmes.
Overall, Glass Onion is a blast from start to finish and definitely worth a watch. It honestly looks like everyone had such a blast filming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
If you’re too busy eating turkey and don’t have time this week to watch Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery on the big screen, have no fear! It will be streaming on Netflix starting on December 23.
Yes. Holidays. The perfect time for a murder mystery. But hey, one thing you don’t have to argue with your family about, right?
