After 14 years, our favorite crime fighting family of superheroes have returned!
With hopes of boosting superheroes’ public image, Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) is enlisted to fight crime while Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) is left to tackle the challenges at home – including their three children.
Fear not, Incredibles fans. This sequel serves up just as much fun as the original. The story may be rather predictable however, Incredibles 2 is jam packed with action, stunning and sophisticated animation, and strong messages that will certainly resonate with audience members. It should come as no surprise that this film is ideal for the whole family and will have you smiling throughout.
My biggest qualm of the film (and perhaps a more personal issue) is not giving more screen time to fashion designer, Edna Mode (Brad Bird) or Frozone’s infamous wife, Honey (Kimberly Adair Clark). These two characters were complete standouts in the original and I feel disappointed to not see more of them.
I think it is safe to say that Disney-Pixar have another huge blockbuster on their hands. The success of this sequel will definitely pave the way for the Incredibles to return a lot sooner than we think.
Final Thoughts: Incredibles 2 is a fun, crowd pleasing sequel that was definitely worth the wait.
