10 years. 18 movies. All leading up to this epic moment in cinematic history.
Avengers: Infinity War brings the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and nearly all of Marvel’s superhero collective together for the deadliest showdown of all time, a faceoff against the powerful Thanos before he destroys the universe.
As this is one of the most highly anticipated movies of all time, I promise I will not spoil it for you.
A movie with this many different actors and storylines typically does not work. However, Avengers: Infinity War finds a way to be the exception to that rule, successfully weaving all of the Marvel superheroes and universes together into an enjoyable web of entertainment.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the different character groupings interact and banter with each other. Nearly every member of the cast puts forth a spectacular performance – especially Tom Holland, who seems to outshine even some on-screen veterans.
Although Marvel movies are known for their humor and lightheartedness, Avengers: Infinity War has the darkest and most haunting finale ever. Without a doubt, the creative team was not playing around. Most of the audience at my showing was speechless as the credits rolled.
Before heading to the theater, my friend warned me that this movie would wreck me. And yes, folks, it will destroy you. Nothing can really prepare you for what happens. Many of you will be heartbroken. However, it is a fantastic blockbuster that will leave you with many questions, craving the final act.
Final Thoughts: Avengers: Infinity War lives up to the hype as a wildly entertaining, thrilling, and mindboggling epic. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will never be the same.
