Ambitious, adrenaline-pumping, action-packed “John Wick: Chapter 4” is the definition of bad ass.

John Wick. The kick-ass legend that proves you should never mess with a dog parent is back for more in “John Wick: Chapter 4.”

Picking up immediately where the third film ended, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) must face off against an old enemy as he continues to find a way to defeat The High Table.

Because I cannot emotionally handle the loss of a fur baby, I was very late to the whole John Wick craze (and huge shout out to my significant other who basically told me the exact time stamps to skip). However, it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the action thriller franchise.

And holy hell. Without sharing any big spoilers, the most recent installment does not disappoint.

Running at almost 3 hours, John Wick: Chapter 4 is fast-paced, nonstop, high-octane action with the most impressive fight sequences and camera work I have seen. It’s technically marvelous, with pristine stunt work. Like, if the Academy wants to finally recognize stunt work, this is the year to do it.

Between the joys of watching Donnie Yen kick ass as a blind assassin, and watching John Wick fight a Batman-villanesque meanie in the middle of a German night club, I cannot tell you how much fun I had watching this movie.

Honestly, this may have been the most entertaining and exciting action film I have seen. Period.

Uh. So. No pressure, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.

Also for any animal fans, I happy to report, no doggies were seriously injured during this film. If anything, the dog featured throughout the film has the ultimate last laugh, in a way that had my audience cheering.
